Riverside complete the commissioning of a major project for the replacement electrical controls and GEM80 PLC upgrade to the Combination Caster at Outokumpu Stainless in Sheffield.

Riverside Automation are starting the new decade by operating a fully functioning Environmental Management System to ISO 14001.

On Friday 31 October we marked the end of Breast Cancer Awareness Month by wearing pink and raised £250 for the Breast Cancer Campaign. We were joined by the Sheffield office of Morris Conferencing to mark the occasion.

September 2008

Riverside Automation are awarded a £665,000 contract to supply the control systems for a Continuous Casting Machine and Water Treatment Complex for Al Tuwairqi Holdings in Saudi Arabia. Riverside ECS will manufacture the control panels for the projects.

Riverside Automation commission the PLC Control and Computer Supervisory System for the new Electric Arc Furnace for Thamesteel in Kent.

Riverside Automation successfully pass a six-year Investors in People review. The Investors in People scheme is clearly seen to assist in the development and encouragement of Riverside Staff.

August 2005

Riverside Automation achieved recognition for their quality management systems by registration with UKAS to ISO9001:2000.

January 2005

The National Steel and Iron Factory in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, report a record sequence on the Continuous Casting Machine of 31 heats (ladles) in a 24 hour period. This is a tribute to the excellent team work in the production staff and maintenance staff. Riverside Automation are proud to have supplied the Electrical and Control System equipment for this machine and are currently working with NSIF to improve the machine's productivity further.

September 2004

Riverside Electrical Control Services, joins the group of companies to enable us to serve our clients with an in-house manufacturing facility. Riverside ECS also has additional office space and test facilities enabling Factory Tests with 3 phase supplies.

July 2004

The offices at 59 and 61 Wostenholm Road are linked; Riverside now has 5,000 square feet of office space in Sheffield 7.

March 2002

Riverside Automation sponsor Sheffield United in their 3:2 win over Millwall. Peter Ndlovu scores a brace and is chosen as 'man of the match' by Riverside customers.
